Feldman wrote that his mission in life became saving Haim's, an apparent reference to the battles Haim had with substance abuse. The Los Angeles County Coroner's office has said that Haim had an enlarged heart, pulmonary congestion and water in his lungs at the time of his death, though an official cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology tests. Four strong prescription medications, including one reportedly obtained from an illegal drug gang, were found near Haim's body, though his manager and mother have said the 38-year-old actor did not die of an overdose.
